CFR works in coordination with a number of campus entities including the Office of the deans, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, and the Office of Contracts and Grants. Additionally, to simplify the proposal submission process, each academic department has a fund manager that can assist with processing applications through the Office of Contract and Grant Administration (OCGA).

Funders are extremely varied in application guidelines, therefore it is important to review any instructions and requirements they may have. This information can usually be found on their websites.

Signature Process

The CFR team is in regular contact with College leadership, including all five Deans as well as the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost.  Therefore, we can help you obtain signatures for proposal documents.  Please contact us at least two weeks before your deadline to allow extra time to accommodate the travel schedules of College leadership.

Limited Submission Opportunities

The OVCR also handles the process for limited submission opportunities.  A limited submission opportunity is when a sponsor restricts the number of applications or nominations that it will accept from an individual institution.  Most limited submission proposals require a standard review and approval through OVCR in conjunction with the Deans of the appropriate schools and colleges.  Notices of limited submission opportunities can be disseminated by our office, by the central Corporate, Foundation & Research Relations office, or by OVCR To receive email notifications of LSO opportunities, subscribe here.
