Vote at UCLA

There are several ways you can vote in LA County if you are eligible. Here are all the ways you can vote at UCLA.

Vote Centers

New this year: LA County voters are no longer assigned to a specific polling place. Eligible voters can cast their vote at any Vote Center in the county, including two Vote Centers at UCLA.

The UCLA community can vote at one of two Vote Centers:

Ackerman Union

Hammer Museum

  • 4-Day Vote Center
  • Annenberg Terrace, Third Floor
  • February 29-March 2, 8am-5pm
  • March 3, 7am-8pm

You may find a more convenient Vote Center location in a different part of LA County.

Vote-by-Mail

Members of the UCLA community may drop off their Vote-by-Mail ballot off at one of two UCLA locations:

  • U.S. Post Office, Ackerman Union A-Level
  • John Wooden Center, Main Lobby

Vote-by-Mail ballots must be postmarked and received by the LA County Clerk’s office by 8:00 pm on Election Day. If a ballot is postmarked and/or received after 8:00 pm on Election Day, it may not be counted.

Once you’ve submitted your Vote-by-Mail ballot, check your ballot status.

Make sure to apply for the Vote-by-Mail program in LA County by California’s deadline of February 25.

If you miss the February 25 deadline and still wish to Vote by Mail, you may request an emergency Vote by Mail ballot following the process outlined at the bottom of LA county’s vote by mail instructions.

Provisional Ballots

If you are eligible to vote in LA County and you did not register by the February 18 deadline, you will still be able to cast a provisional ballot at any Vote Center.

You will be asked to complete a Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) on the spot. You will then be instructed to complete your provisional ballot on a ballot marking device.

Instead of scanning the ballot into the ballot marking device, you will hand your provisional ballot to an election official. Your provisional ballot will be counted once your Conditional Voter Registration is verified.

CVR voters can check the status of their provisional ballot at LA county’s provisional ballot status service.
