Writing II Requirements

The Writing II requirement is satisfied by selecting a course from a list of courses approved by the School’s Faculty Executive Committee. Writing II courses are listed in the Schedule of Classes at www.registrar.ucla.edu/soc/writing.htm and are available in the Student Services Office. The course must be completed with a grade of C or better (C- or a Passed grade is not acceptable) within the first six quarters of enrollment.

A Writing II course used to meet this requirement may not be applied toward a foundation area under general education or toward the literature requirement.
