Writing II Requirements

The Writing II requirement is satisfied by selecting a course from a faculty-approved list of courses published in the Schedule of Classes at www.registrar.ucla.edu/soc/writing.htm and available in the Student Affairs Office. The course must be completed with a grade of C or better (C– or a Passed grade is not acceptable) within the first six terms of enrollment. Most Writing II courses may also be applied toward general education (GE) requirements.
