The Office of Undergraduate Evaluation and Research examines the effectiveness of the university's academic programs.

Below is a list of our most current projects, with a brief description:

Community College Best Practices Compile and summarize community college practices that facilitate transfer.
Fiat Lux Seminars Document the experience of students and faculty participating in one-unit seminars.
Freshman Cluster Program Coordinate ongoing assessment of general education clusters.
Program Reviews Assist the College Faculty Executive Committee and the Undergraduate Council with information needs.
Senior Survey Coordinate implementation of and analyze results of Senior Survey administered to all graduating seniors in the College.
Science Initiatives Evaluate the impact of programs that support retention and achievement in the sciences.
TAP Reviews Coordinate reviews of community colleges participating in the Transfer Alliance Program.
Technology Determine the impact of technology on UCLA students and faculty.
UCUES Assist with coordination and implementation of the University of California Undergraduate Experience Survey.
Undergraduate Student Experience Initiative Assess the impact of advanced undergraduate taught courses. Document the experience of faculty mentors, student facilitators, and student participants.
