The Diversified Liberal Arts Program (DLAP) is an undergraduate specialization designed
for UCLA students who wish to augment their general education and major programs of study with a group of courses that
cover subject matter commonly taught in California elementary schools.
Completion of DLAP no longer exempts students from the Multiple Subjects Assessment for Teachers (MSAT, also known as CSET) examination for all California
graduate school credential programs.
Students must pass the MSAT/CSET exam before they
can begin student teaching in elementary school teaching credential programs (also known as "Multiple Subject Teaching Credential programs").
DLAP does not substitute for an accredited teacher credential program.
DLAP Enrollment is Officially Closed: No new applications to enter DLAP will be accepted, effective Winter quarter 2004.
