Students must meet one of the following Criteria:

  • Low-Income and First Generation college student (neither parents has a Bachelor's degree

  • African American

  • Latino/a

  • Native American

Students Must Also:

  • Be a UCLA student, majoring in the humanities or the Social Sciences

  • Have completed their sophomore year

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.9 or higher

  • Demonstrate academic potential for graduate study

Applicants must be majoring in one of the following Fields

History Linguistics
Philosophy Political Science
Psychology Spanish and Portuguese
Interdepartmental Programs
  • Afro-American Studies
  • American Indian Studies
  • Asian American Studies
  • Chicana/Chicano Studies
